Digital process chains and automated workflows: AMAG Import, inSign and BSI
Since mid-November 2024, customers have been able to digitally sign purchase contracts for new and used cars at official dealerships for the Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Škoda, CUPRA and VW Commercial Vehicles brands. This innovative system, provided by AMAG Import on behalf of the brands, is used by all authorised dealerships in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
What does the new digital workflow for sales contracts look like?
The sales contracts are stored as document templates in the CRM system and are prepared for transfer to inSign using CRM processes. The integration between BSI 22 and inSign is facilitated via EIP enabling seamless and efficient processing.
Document templates in the CRM: The sales contracts are stored as document templates in the CRM system. These templates contain all the necessary information and fields required to draw up a sales contract in the automotive industry.
CRM processes for transfer to inSign: The prepared document templates are transferred to inSign using CRM processes. This is achieved through automated workflow control, which ensures that all relevant data is transferred correctly and in full.
Integration via EIP: The connection between the CRM system and inSign is established via BSI’s Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP). This platform enables seamless and efficient integration by linking various systems and applications.
Electronic signature with inSign: inSign enables users to sign the sales contracts electronically. The electronic signature is legally binding and complies with both eIDAS and ZertES regulations.
Automated workflows: Once signed, the documents are automatically archived and follow-up processes are triggered. This includes, for example, notifying the relevant departments or forwarding the documents to external partners.

This integration ensures that the entire contract process is handled efficiently and user-friendly for AMAG Import, from creation through to signing and archiving.
By integrating inSign into our CRM system via BSI's EIP, we can digitise and optimise the entire contract process.
This leads to a significant increase in efficiency and an improved user experience.

How is the new platform used?
The BSI Customer Suite, which encompasses all elements of the process chain, has around 3,500 users, roughly half of whom are potential users of this use case.
After just 45 days, nearly 300 sales staff had initiated a digital signature, and in the first month, almost 500 sales contracts were signed digitally. These figures demonstrate the high level of acceptance and the success of the system among users.
What are the benefits of integrating inSign via BSI’s Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP)?
Integration via BSI’s Enterprise Integration Platform (EIP) offers numerous benefits, particularly when combined with the inSign electronic signature solution. Here are some of the key benefits:
- Seamless integration: The EIP enables the rapid and seamless integration of inSign into existing system landscapes. This means that the electronic signature solution can be easily integrated into existing workflows and CRM systems.
- Increased efficiency: Integration simplifies and speeds up processes. The electronic signature can be obtained with just one click, which significantly reduces manual administrative effort and shortens processing times.
- Legal certainty: The inSign electronic signature is legally binding and complies with eIDAS and ZertES regulations. This ensures that the signatures are legally recognised and admissible as evidence.
- Cost savings: Digitising signature processes reduces paper and printing costs, as well as the effort involved in physical archiving. This leads to significant cost savings and a more sustainable way of working.
- User-friendliness: Integration via EIP ensures a user-friendly application. Users can apply an electronic signature without the need for additional hardware, installation or registration, which simplifies the process for everyone involved.
- Flexibility: The solution can be used both as part of the BSI Customer Suite and as a standalone product. This offers companies the flexibility to adapt the solution to their specific needs.
What are the next steps planned for the future?
Further use cases relating to the vehicle ordering and delivery process are planned for 2025. These enhancements will drive forward the digital transformation and make the document signing process at AMAG Import even more efficient and user-friendly.
The digital signing of purchase contracts is a significant step towards a modern and digital future. AMAG and its brands are thus sending a strong signal of innovation and customer focus.
